Character Name: Elioenai {“My Eyes Look to God”} Fal'Curus
Character Nickname: None.
Character Alias: Shaitan {“Devil”, “Adversary”, “Enemy”,”Opponent”}. Few, if any, know his real name, and few ever will. Shaitan is a secretive creature with a past to hide and a reputation to hold. Some humans know him as Kaden, being that that is the name he uses when signing his artwork.
Character Race: He is a Demon.
Character Race (Cont.): Kurian’unra. Elioenai’s race (or type of Demon) is basically undefined to the living world, as it has had many name across the spectrum of time, with only beings older than 2000 years old (aside from Seers and the kurian’unra themselves) able to remember its name. He could be called a Fallen, a Dark Angel, a demon of shadows, a spirit, whatever one can come up with. The Kurian’unra is a type of Demon long forgotten and long hidden by and from both humans and the Demon Underground alike.
Character Age: 1,114
Character Apparent Age: 24
Character Sex: Male
Portrayed By: I believe his picture was done by hakubaikou.~*~*~*~*~*~
Supernatural Form's Eye Color: Shaitan's right eye has been cut through, leaving an ugly scar from above his brow to the high point of his cheekbone. The iris of his left eye is a deep, vibrant red color, but other than that, it retains a human look.
Supernatural Form's Hair Color: Black as black can be.
Supernatural Form's Hair Style: His hair falls a bit past his shoulders, straight and of medium volume (not too thin, not too thick). It covers his right eye, not only to keep others from seeing it, but also for reasons that will soon be made known.
Supernatural Form's Skin Color: His skin is dark, more like an actual dark grey than a real skin color.
Supernatural Form's Body Type: He's toned, muscular by many standards. However, he is no bulk of a man and has little to no fat on him, making him seem rather slim (but not skinny).
Supernatural Form's Height: 5'11"
Supernatural Form's Weight: 151 lb (excluding the light weight of his wings)
Supernatural Form's Other Features: Two giant, feathery black wings protrude from his back, with a wingspan from tip to tip perhaps over 20 ft. These wings, however large, are light and durable. The bones themselves are flexible, allowing for complicated twists and maneuvers in the air that would not be possible for most wings of their size. So flexible and resilient are they that even falling on them would not snap them. (Think about that little twig you found in the woods that just wouldn’t break no matter how many times you bent it.)
This isn’t to say that they can’t break. Shaitan can only twist and turn them so much until he must allow them to recuperate. And, was it mentioned how painful twists of the wings can get after twisted only once? Whether they break or not, twisting and bending his wings can be excruciatingly painful.
Kurian’unra each have a tattoo-like image somewhere on their body. Shaitan’s only appears in his “supernatural” and true forms, on his back at the base of his neck, between the wings.
Significance: The marks these creatures are born with are representative of their separation from the demon norm around 2000 B.C., when some of the Kurian'unra began to take up guardianship over humans as payment for the wrongs they had done. As a way of identifying "traitors," magic was used to place marks on those who had changed. Then, it became hereditary, being passed down through bloodline.

Guise/Human Form's Eye Color: His left eye is brown with specks of red scattered across the iris. His right loses the scarred look and is simply a pale eye glazed over with a sheet of white that signifies blindness.
Guise/Human Form's Hair Color: Black
Guise/Human Form's Hair Style: It is short, reaching his chin in the front and barely nipping the fabric of his shirt in the back. It covers his right eye, but this time not for purposes of hiding it.
Guise/Human Form's Skin Color: Shaitan’s pale skin could make the whitest paper envious.
Guise/Human Form's Body Type: {REPEAT} He's toned, muscular by many standards. However, he is no bulk of a man and has little to no fat on him, making him seem rather slim (but not skinny).
Guise/Human Form's Height: 5'11"
Guise/Human Form's Weight: 151 lb
Guise/Human Form's Other Features: None worth mentioning.

Supernatural Reputation: Those who know he exists think of him only as a bystander to the happenings in the world. In their eyes, he never does anything but wander, and he never socializes with anyone. They do know the name "Shaitan," as that is the demon name he is now known by.
Human Reputation: Few humans have ever seen Shaitan’s face. The one who does many times during the span of a month, though, is the one who sells his paintings for him. He has made a rather profitable living off of his artwork, painting or sketch; his work is often highly called for. After all, he has many scenes of life he could put on paper or canvas. Those who buy his work know him by ‘Kaden.’
Strengths:
- Art. Shaitan is a greatly talented artist, having worked with all kinds of art for about 500 years, including painting, sketching, and even taking photographs in the most recent years. He began releasing his artwork under the name of Kaden for the past 14 years.
- Piano. He can play the piano extraordinarily well. Ever since he knew of the piano’s existence (the existence of what pianos we know of), Shaitan has begun to learn how to play it. He loves its sound and the way the music played on it can portray various moods and feelings.
- Combat. Having had years of practice, Shaitan is fairly experienced in multiple areas of combat. (Specifically, martial arts from Asia and Brazil in South America, using hand-to-hand and staffs.)
- Learning/Knowledge. Obviously his age has offered him a good deal of knowledge, though he is far from all-knowing. He is very capable of learning and retaining information. Yes, I know everyone is capable of learning and retaining information (supposedly), but I point this out because he has a very good memory, and must anyway because of his artwork taking from his past.
Weaknesses:
- Half-Blind. Check that right eye. He's blind in it. He can't see through that eye, and it gives him a blindspot.
- His healing process is slower than that of an average human. A single wide cut on his side could be fatal to him.
- Shaitan is greatly susceptible to human illnesses (aside from certain diseases and cancers), specifically the common cold, flu, fever, and strong viruses. Medications cannot be taken, as his body will reject them, and it will possibly make the illness more severe, even deadly.
- Supposedly, Shaitan is incapable of speaking, of voicing his thoughts. No one living can remember a time when he spoke, and if he ever was able to speak, he doesn't show any sign of it. Some who are asked about it will say that perhaps because he's not spoken for so long that he just can't. Maybe something tragic happened in his youth. Well, human youth is entirely different. . . .
- Shaitan cannot show emotions. Now, this is not that 'they are very good at hiding their emotions' or 'they seem almost emotionless' deal. He truly cannot show his emotions, no matter how much he wants to. He simply has no capability to do so whatsoever. (It is his face and eyes that cannot show emotion. He always wears a blank expression.) Though this can be a strength, in that enemies cannot read his emotions, it is also a great weakness in forming relationships with others.
Likes:
- Shaitan adores music, especially instrumental and soft rock. His favorite instrument to play is the piano, followed closely by the guitar, not the electric guitar, just the regular ol' instrument.
- Light. It is a reminder to him that there is more to this world than what is revealed in the shadows from whence he came. He still enjoys the dark, as would be expected of his kind, but that unnatural love of light is still very present.
- He loves gardens and flowers of various types, his favorite flowers being morning glories and roses. Actually, nature itself is something he marvels at, and he never tires of it, even after his long life thus far.
- Animals, especially horses and cats. Karira loved horses, so that’s part of where his love for the animals really started to grow.
- Painting/Sketching/Art. As said before, he’s been in the art “industry” for over 400 years. He would not stick with it simply because of boredom.
Dislikes:
- Being called a monster. Throughout his life, those few who have seen his supernatural form have accused him of being a monster, yelling and screaming at him to leave, to die, to never exist. It hasn't happened in the past few hundred years, but those memories still stick out strongly in his mind. Maybe he is a monster, but he doesn't like being called one.
- Being Alone. He never surrounds himself with others. Never invites people over to his home. Never socializes, not that he can in the way people want him to, anyway. Ever since Karira died he has remained solitary, rarely leaving his home, hardly eating, keeping his life a secret. Though most would say he brings loneliness upon himself, being with another person would not ease it. The only cure he's found is through his art.
- Rain. Okay, so he actually likes the rain, but at the same time, he dislikes it, in that it makes him even more susceptible to sickness than he already is.
- Rap, Hip Hop, Screamo, and Hard Rock Music. To him, all of that is just noise. He likes listening to music when he paints, and those types of music make him feel sick, making him unable to finish his work.
- Close-minded individuals.
- Art Critics. What artist enjoys a comment from an art critic, unless good, and even then, not quite so much?
- Loud Noises!! Not good for painting!!
- Cold Weather. He doesn’t like being cold. Like rain, it makes him more prone to sickness. But he also just can’t stand being cold. His body can’t take it, and he would freeze quicker than most humans.
Main Supernatural Ability: Dreams – Shaitan has the ability to enter people’s dreams from the waking state. He still cannot speak in the dream; nor can he show his emotions (except for by motions, but that’s obvious). This is mostly used as a form of communication with those he cannot really “talk” to in the waking life. These dreams can only be manipulated by him slightly. The dream gives the dreamer the realization that they are actually in a dream, and they can control the surroundings and environment of the dream after that realization. They can push him out of their dream, but few know how to do so.
Though he can only do so much in another's dream, he is a master of his own dreams.
Other/Minor Supernatural Abilities:
- Heightened Strength and Speed. A kurian’unra tops a human’s maximum possible strength and speed.
- Thought Projection. Using this, he is able to put his thoughts into others’ minds. These thoughts are placed there, not spoken. (The thoughts placed in the other's mind is in the form of random phrases or words, never full sentences.) He rarely, if ever, uses this anymore. He used to use it around Karira or in times of necessity when he really needed someone to know something. It actually gave him a form of intimacy between them (him and Karira). These thoughts are OBVIOUSLY from him (or at least not the person's own thoughts) and do not in any way make someone do anything.
- Because he cannot speak or show emotions, he found early on that others would try to infiltrate his mind to find his thoughts, his feelings. This has caused him to focus on putting up a mind block. Though not immensely strong, it keeps the rooks from getting inside.
- When he is happy, his skin is warm. When he is sad or depressed, his skin is ice cold. When he is angry, his skin would feel scolding hot to the touch. In reality, it would not harm someone. It only gives that illusion. (This is not technically an ability. It just happens. I didn’t know where else to put this.)
Drawbacks To Supernatural Abilities:
- When in another’s dream, his real body is completely vulnerable. And any wound or pain he feels in the dream world becomes real in the waking world (it works the other way around as well). He also cannot hear any words spoken to him in the waking world while he is in the dream and cannot be awoken from the dream except by death, real physical wounding, or choice.
(If he is killed or wounded while in another's dream, it will happen in the dream, and he will slowly, or quickly, "return to his body," depending on whether or not he was killed immediately or simply wounded, as well as whether or not he still has something to "say" to the person. While in the dream, he can be hurt, but it won't immediately send him from the dream.) - To project his thoughts to others, the block around his mind must be gone. If any supernatural noticed this, he would be stuck and unable to project his thoughts. Around Karira, he had felt comfortable letting down his guard, but now he feels he must be on guard at all times. At times he can be a little paranoid because of this.
- He cannot project his thoughts to those with their own mind block, or even those who have powers of the mind similar to his.
- If in a weak state (as in sick), Shaitan’s mind is an open book. Random images from his past would flood the mind of the invading supernatural, possibly hurt them but not always. This process greatly weakens Shaitan to the point of the possible death.
- When he is sad or depressed and is in a cold environment, he is more likely to freeze to death than normal.
- His strength and speed decrease according to severity of illness.
- He has not been able to block his mind during sleep or illness.

Character's Job: He is a successful artist.
Family Ties: Cut. His father was his only known relative, and he died before Shaitan returned home with Karira.
Relationships: None.
Short Character History: (The kurian’unra is a type of Demon, not a real race, but I will refer to it as his race in the history for simplicity’s sake.)
No one really knows how far back the legacy of the Kurian'unra goes. There is no certain age of beginning, nor a certain age of end, but they fear that the end is coming; at least, those who have survived to this day. Shaitan knows of no other in existence, and hence he acts as though he is alone. But he keeps his mind, ears, and eye open, knowing a few are still left out there somewhere.
Most beings believe the ancient Demon is extinct or near extinction. There is a myriad of theories for how the race passed. Many claim that their fierce determination and stamina was their downfall, not allowing them the will-power to retreat in battles they could not win. Others believed that in a time of natural weakness, the race's enemies attacked, leaving no survivors throughout the world.
More logical and scientific minds of the supernatural would attribute the race's extinction to the terribly low survival rate of mothers during pregnancy and childbirth. During pregnancy, a female's strength lowers to below that of even a human, and they rely on the male's protection to keep them safe. Most live through pregnancy only to die giving birth, as having the child drains what little strength they have. Due to this, having a female child that lives is considered a blessing.
Contrary to popular belief, the importance, value, and often rarity of females did not cause any panic or disruption among males. In fact, males who found mates were congratulated by other, less fortunate males, without respite. If any male was angered or jealous of another's gains, few knew it. (Of course, if one male tried to mess with another's female, the female's mate would have the right to kill him.)
In addition to the low survival rate of the females, the Kurian'unra cannot have children with other races, making mixes of blood impossible. And, as the process of a Kurian'unra getting pregnant can cause immense physical and mental fatigue afterward, it can be understood that the process would be harmful or even fatal for a female of another race. It will also destroy any chance the female ever had to have a child. Human females who lie with a Kurian'unra male more often than not die soon after. Those who don't die would be hospitalized until they regain their strength.
Of course, don’t let their respect between each other fool you. The Kurian’unra are naturally vile and cruel creatures. They are demons after all. Most, by the time Shaitan was born, were making an attempt to make up for their nature by protecting humans and assuming a more peaceful living among humans. It was among humans that Shaitan was born. He survived, but his mother did not, as was common.
A long time before, around 2000 B.C., was when certain Kurian'unra decided they were going to turn from their vile nature and become human guardians. These "traitors" were marked by magic, with a mark somewhere on the body that showed who they were. These marks were passed down through bloodlines and remained like a birthmark on the decendents, whether they were true to their nature or not.
At no point in time did Shaitan ever speak. He is also the first in his bloodline that had no capability to show his emotions. Others had before him, but again, not in his bloodline. This made communication with others nearly impossible for him.
His father raised him by himself, but in no way did his father wish for him to be sheltered from the realities of their race. His first 50 years were spent learning from his father, taking time to understand and consider what view he would take on the situation his race was in. By this time, he had already formed his idea of his race: Confused; Deranged; Inwardly and Outwardly Cruel. But he wasn’t too sure he didn’t like it.
Born in what is now the Americas in the late 800s, the Kurian’unra had already thinned out. He and his father were survivors, with little to no contacts with others that Shaitan knew of.
Shaitan's father taught him the basics of the fighting styles he had come to know, such as the martial arts originating from Asia and Brazil in South America, Asia being the place from which his father had come. (Shaitan's mother was met near where Shaitan was born, though.) These were specific favorites of Shaitan. The martial arts originating from Brazil requires a great deal of stamina and flexibility. It relies on "kicks, elbow strikes, hand strikes, head butts, cartwheels, and sweeps." (Note: Info gathered from Wiki.)
He occasionally used a staff in his training, and to this day, even with guns having been invented, the staff is still his favored weapon. (He currently keeps one in a closet in his house.) He was expected by his father to continue training after he left him, and he did, however rarely. His fighting gained a more wild style after a while.
As previously stated, Shaitan wasn’t sure he didn’t like the nature of his race. There were many times in his life before he turned 300 when he has considered all the terrible things that could possibly be done to a human being, and done one or two of those things.
But it was shortly after his 319th year that he met her. Karira. The first other of his own kind he had met besides his father (who by now had left Shaitan on his own). She was a strong believer in the right, in that killing was wrong. She was 112 years younger than him, approximately, and at first he thought her mind adolescent. It didn’t take long, while travelling with her, that he realized it was his mind that was adolescent. He had blood on his hands, and being around her made him feel guilty. Travelling with her had been hard, and it was the first time he really practiced thought projection. He wanted her to know what he was feeling, what he was thinking.
He returned to where his father had raised him, with Karira having chosen to come and be with him, to be his. He loved her, he knew. And it made him afraid to let her have children. For well over 170 years, they were together but refrained from attempting to have children. He wanted her to stay with him. No one before, aside from his father, had seemed to really care for him because of his defects. Karira cared for him when he was ill, watched over him like an angel, and understood his feelings by simply looking at him.
They had a link, they did. They accessed each other’s minds freely, and it was only to Shaitan’s delight that she spoke to him, despite being able to give him her thoughts. He loved her voice, reveled in it.
Both of them avoided the Natives of the land when possible. They preferred each other's company to that of those who might not welcome them, especially if there happened to be elder demons among them.
Then came her pregnancy. . . . He quivered with fear, fear he only felt when around her, when he realized it. He knew it would happen, but he had been hoping otherwise. Karira assured him she would push through, as neither planned to give up the child. She would have to. During the months of her pregnancy, he stayed as near as he could at all times, watching her, guarding her.
There were multiple times during her pregnancy that Shaitan was thankful for the training he had been given. When there were confrontation with the Natives, he did not wish to appear more than human, and so he used as little fighting as possible to get away from them and then avoid them. It was interesting how they always seemed to dislike them. Maybe because they were so pale? He didn't know. Didn't really care either, unless it concerned Karira.
It was the day Karira was at her weakest point, the day she was to give birth. She was stolen from him that day. Somehow. Some way. He knew not when, for he had only left her side for a moment, but when he returned, she was just . . . gone, and there was no sign of a struggle. Dead? Inside he didn’t think it true. But he knew it possible. How could it have happened?! It had been his responsibility!! Where could she have gone?!
For seven days after losing Karira, supposedly to death, he went searching for something. For what, he didn’t know. Answers. He had questions. He needed answers. But who could give these to him but Death himself?
One day, the seventh day, he snapped at a comment an elder demon had made, not another Kurian’unra, but another demon, someone who had lived on this earth much longer than he. They fought each other, Shaitan fighting only in blind rage. It seemed as though the elder would win, but Shaitan continued to fight. He was bleeding profusely, but he raged on. He wanted death. Oh sweet death! He wanted it to take him!
For the last few moments, he seemed to finally be gaining the upper hand, but then, the slash that gave him the scar on his right eye was let down. That cursed creature. . . . It was the day he received the name ‘Shaitan,’ for “opponent and adversary,” for he had entered a land strange to him, one where no one knew his name.
He should have died that day. But he didn’t. Someone saved his life. Someone brought him back to his waking misery. To this day, he still does not know who this person was, and ever since then, he has not allowed another access to his mind. Willingly, anyway.
He spent the rest of his life furthering his knowledge, joining into society. He tried to forget Karira, but her image keeps coming back to him. He avoided any and all wars, only occasionally stepping in to aid when supposedly none were paying heed to him. Wars would have been ways for him to kill, possibly take revenge on people who were innocent of the wrongs done against him him. He had to leave it behind.
And politics and slavery and all that? Nothing he involved himself in. He tried to remain as solitary as he could. He didn't think anyone needed to know he was there.
Around 1500 A.D., he got into painting and sketching. It is one thing that he did that helped him get through his pain. It was only for entertainment at first, but then he realized he need to incorporate himself in the growing society that had come about in America. Then, around 1750 A.D., he began to play the piano, and he has thanked all the powers in the universe for allowing him the privelage of being able to play and hear its music.
He eventually learned sign language and began to use it to communicate with the humans who sold his artwork. It is definitely difficult to find a seller who can use sign language, or is willing to learn it.
Now, he lives in Portland, and he has lived there for the past 14 years, selling his art under the name of ‘Kaden.’ He remains in his house most days, and he only occasionally goes out for a walk. He has a white cat named Kali, who luckily doesn’t shed and leave fur all over his house. He has a good income, as good as an artist can get, not to mention savings from earlier years.
