Character Name: Ritoru Akki
Character Nickname: Akki, Demon-child, Trouble, "AK-KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!"
Character Alias: In America, introduces self as Akki Ritoru
Character Race: Demon
Character Race (Cont.): Kitsune
Character Age: 14
Character Apparent Age: 14-ish
Character Sex: Female
Portrayed By: Ueto Aya
Supernatural Form's Eye Color: Shifted: Bright gold, pupils are vertical slits
Supernatural Form's Hair Color: Shifted: Red and white with black accents
Supernatural Form's Hair Style: Shifted: Sleek along body and legs, bushier around neck and tail.
Supernatural Form's Skin Color: Shifted: Paw pads are black.
Supernatural Form's Body Type: Shifted: Low to the ground, long torso'd and delicate-looking.
Supernatural Form's Height: Oh, about 1'3"
Supernatural Form's Weight: Maybe 8 pounds soaking wet.
Supernatural Form's Other Features: When shifted, virtually indistinguishable from a regular red fox. Humans see a fox, nothing more, nothing less.
Guise/Human Form's Eye Color: Golden brown
Guise/Human Form's Hair Color: Naturally black, but lightened to reddish blonde.
Guise/Human Form's Hair Style: Short, layered and stylish.
Guise/Human Form's Skin Color: Pale in winter, tanned with yellow tones in summer.
Guise/Human Form's Body Type: Bean pole.
Guise/Human Form's Height: 90lbs
Guise/Human Form's Weight: 4'8"
Guise/Human Form's Other Features: None, yet.
Supernatural Reputation: She is unaware even of her own true nature at the moment.
Human Reputation: Mischievous, but not malicious. A willful girl with a penchant for getting herself in deep kaka. As a general rule, wherever Akki goes, trouble follows. However, you couldn't ask for a brighter, funnier or sassier kid.
Strengths: Very intelligent for a girl her age, both in book-smarts and street smarts. Extremely observant, which isn't always a good thing. Highly adaptable, brave and witty. Very loyal when her trust has been earned, and good at keeping the IMPORTANT secrets. Possessed of a birth-right that even she isn't aware of yet.
Weaknesses: Curious to a fault. High energy mixed with a need to be constantly entertained or mentally stimulated makes for a disaster when she gets bored. Tends to go exploring and can get herself lost. Temperamental when things don't go her way. Tends to think she knows it all. Ah, the follies of youth.
Likes: VIDEO GAMES! Spending time with Tigger. Pushing people's buttons, finding out what makes them tick. Puzzles and books. Going shopping, watching really bad movies. Observing boys for purely educational purposes. Exploring, learning, getting to hang out with Tigger's friends.
Dislikes: Being called a Jap or slant-eyes. She has a completely irrational fear and dislike of dogs (a kitsune trait, unbeknownst to her). Hearing the word "No," people who treat her condescendingly because she's young. Anyone who pisses Tigger off. Anyone who pisses her off. Being stuck with nothing to do. Being GROUNDED. Movies that don't grab her interest within the first three minutes.
Main Supernatural Ability: (Abilities will be realized as her pituitary gland starts kicking into overdrive) The ability to shapeshift into a vixen. In this form, she is small enough to fit through most spaces, can travel long distances at a swift pace, and to some extent can communicate with other animals. Best of all, in this form she can chew on Gucci shoes and blame it on the dog afterwards.
Other/Minor Supernatural Abilities: A longer lifespan than average mortals, roughly 150 years.
Promise Binding: People who make promises to her are magically bound to fulfill them. Anything they do to go against that promise causes pain. Intensity of pain depends on how deliberately they are going against their word, as well as how far they are straying from the promised result. Once they have fulfilled their promise, they are released from the bond.
As she matures, both physically and in her powers, more will begin to manifest, such as...
A gilded tongue: Her duel nature as trickster and (fickle) protector makes her oh, so easy to believe. It would not be hard for her to lie to a stranger, as people find themselves compelled to believe her. It WOULD NOT work on people who know her well, or see her for what she is (i.e., a trickster).
The creation of Illusions: This will begin to manifest about a year after her first shapeshift. It will start small - she could change the color of her eyes, give herself an extra finger on each hand, etc.. After about a decade of practicing and honing the skill, she would eventually be able to create very elaborate illusions. Staging someone's death, for example, with illusions so real that one would believe they touched a body and felt no pulse.
Willful manifestations in the dreams of others: This will take many years for her to do successfully, but basically, once she has mastered it, she will be able to manipulate a person's dreams by placing herself in them, with complete control over her own actions.
Invisibility: This ability will take several years for her to exercize on command. It will manifest about a year after her first transformation and in the beginning will only occur reflexively, i.e. when she genuinely is terrified for her life, it could just happen... or it might not.
Drawbacks To Supernatural Abilities: Most of them take a long time to control at will.
She is currently unaware of all of them - they are triggered by changes in hormone cycles.
Her mother was a full-blooded kitsune, making Akki only half. Where her lifespan would have been well over 500 years as a full blood, hers is drastically reduced.
Kitsune are deathly afraid of dogs. If a dog startled Akki, there would be a great chance of her shifting into her fox form and fleeing in terror (dice roll determined).
Once she hits the peak of puberty and the abilities begin to manifest, Akki will be magically bound to any promise she makes. The Promise Binding goes both ways. If Akki deliberately does something she promised she wouldn't do, or goes against any promise at all, the results will be painful. The longer she resists keeping her promise, or, if there was a time frame when her promise was to be fulfilled and she has gotten close to the deadline without doing anything, the worse the pain gets until it is physically unbearable.
Character's Job: Studying under Tora's direction.
Family Ties: True parents: Deceased.
Blood relations: N/A
She has grown up having only Tora, or "Tigger," as family.
Relationships: Akki loves Tigger best, but is fascinated by his 'friends.'
Short Character History: (For once, I will be able to write an actual SHORT character history! YAYZ!)
Akki's real mother was a kitsune, a demon straight out of Japanese mythology, only Akki doesn't know that. Akki doesn't remember her parents; Tora's the only family she's ever known.
Until the time she was ten years old, she could only remember being in Osaka with Tora. When Tora had important guests over, she wasn't allowed to call him Tigger, and had to be very still, very quiet. The older she got the harder it became for her, unlike most children who are exactly the opposite.
A little after her tenth birthday (her real birthday is unknown), they moved to Tokyo for 'business,' as Tora said.
Akki, while growing more aware of her sibling's position in the Shiroi Te, also realized the importance of keeping what she knew a secret. While Akki was not always known for keeping the little secrets, she never said a peep of the truly important ones.
Not too long ago, Tora asked her how she'd like to go to America, and of course, just like any other girl her age would have, she nearly burst his eardrums with her excited, high-pitched squeal of a response.
Tora had her work extra hard on her English lessons, and only a few days before her fourteenth birthday, she and Tora were standing on the deck of a ferry, watching the harbor get smaller and smaller the further they got from shore.
It was a very, very long trip by ferry, and admittedly Tora enjoyed it more than she did. She figured it had something to do with the amount of time she spent being sea-sick as opposed to the amount of time he spent NOT being sea-sick.
When they finally reached America, Tora said their new home would be in Portland, Oregon. Akki was too excited at the prospect of getting off the damn boat to wonder why Portland, or even why Oregon.
