Game Rules ~ If you would like to play here, you must know and follow our rules. They aren't that hard and should be easy for everyone to follow. 001. Harassment002. God Modding003. Adult Content004. Language005. Activity006. Posting007. Images and TextPlease note: The staff here at Avandrya are very open minded. We care what our members want! If you have a comment or suggestion on any of these things, please let us know. We will talk it over and then bring it to a poll for the rest of the members if we feel that it would benefit everyone! The admin reserve the right to change these rules, ban members for breaking the ProBoards and Avandrya guidelines without notice. This is not to say that we will go crazy. We just want people to understand that we will not suffice harassment or God Modding.

Harassment ~
001. No harassing other players. If your characters hate each other, fine. But that doesn’t mean that you have to harass each other. Keep it smart... Just respect one another! I don't want to have to ban people for being stupid about something as simple as a misunderstanding. Kindness and courtesy go a long way.

God Modding ~
001. Don’t do it. There are to be no overly powerful characters and there is to be no playing someone’s character for them. The only exception to this rule is admin approved characters that are guided by plot drivers and speaking to someone out of character (via the boards or IMs) about what you want their character to do.

Language ~
001. We expect you to be literate. There is no ‘net speak’ allowed. Spell out your words, that is all we ask. On this note, we do understand that typos happen and people may not use the best grammar (Andrea has a problem using too many commas for example) and we do not expect you to be perfect. We do, however, want to make sure that you are trying!
002. There is swearing allowed. This is not to say that you are allowed to use these words every other sentence. Keep it a bit less vulgar if you could. (Now, if a character chooses to speak in this way, that is fine but please... don’t abuse this.)

Activity ~
001. We do not expect you to post every day (though, if you choose too... GREAT!). We do want you to post at least once a week. If you cannot post or do not want to post, please allow anyone RPing with you a way out of the thread and let us know that you will be away.
002. When you create an account. If you have not submitted a bio for that account within 72 hours, your account will be deleted. This is to keep our members list clean and accurate.
003. Once your completed bio has been posted, you will have one week to make the changes that staff suggest. If you post your bio and it is not completed, you will have three days to finish it. We don't want inactive people let alone characters on this board.

Posting ~
001. Sometimes our muses leave us and that is understandable but when posting, we do not accept one liners. If you can’t think of anything to write, then use the five senses. Give the person that has to post after you something to go off of. Remember: Description, description, description!
002. Due to members requests and a vote on the subject, you are now able to post your character in more than one thread. You are only allowed two open threads with each character. If you are still stuck, you may request a third open thread. To do this, you must contact an Admin or a General Mod. (Links in the sidebar.)
003. Each character must have his/her own account and the account name must reflect the known name of the character it portrays. We do this to make things more streamlined and clean. Add to this, you are not allow to have more than three characters without staff approval. You are warned now that staff approval for a fourth character is rare as you need to prove to us that you can be active with all of your characters first. Think of it this way, each character you have is allowed to be in two threads. If you have three characters, you have the ability to post in six active threads.
004. Everyone needs to follow posting order. Additions and subtractions to the posting order are acceptable only when when people join or leave the threads. The only time that this rule is allowed to be bent is via the consent of the next person in your posting order or if staff allows for it.
If someone hasn't responded after a week (per our activity rule) then you may contact a staff member. All staff member contacts should be in their profiles. Those can be found via the image links listed in the sidebar.
005. When you are finished with a thread, you must put in the thread that you have left and let us know where you're moving onto. If there are other people in there, when the thread closes and it moves somewhere else, please let us know where you're continuing it and give us a link. If it is a single thread and you are not planning where you're posting, let us know that it's closed!
Examples: 1. Andrea smiles as she closes the door behind her, shouting a goodbye to Tessie as she leaves.
((TBC in Chit Chat))
2. Andrea and Avery head out the door, not turning around to say goodbye to anyone. Those bitches!
((Continued in Chit Chat))
3. Andrea drives through town, not really having a destination in mind.
((Closed))

Images and Text ~
001. To keep continuity throughout the boards, avatars must be no larger than 180x250 and signatures must be no larger than 500x200. About text: this rule should be common sense. Use any colors you like but please don't burn retinas with brightness or make your text unreadable on our background.

C.o.d.e. Word ~
001. Each application has a c.o.d.e. word that you must fill out. This word helps us to know that you have read and agree to the rules. By filling out this section of your bio, you are stating that you accept these rules and agree to abide by them. C.o.d.e. words will be changed once every week or two. This is to keep honest people honest. Codeword: Pepper
(Note: The dots in between the letters is to keep people from 'searching' for this word through the find option on most browsers. We actually want people to read these rules!)
