The world is filled with the supernatural. Demons, vampires, were-creatures, witches and more stalk the streets under our eyes. They each have the ability to hide themselves from us by wearing the Guise, a spell that makes them look human. But no matter what they are or what they truly look like, they are part of a supernatural underworld, called the Demon Underground.

It’s raining now, causing all the snow that built up to melt and flood the rivers. Many people are staying in their homes to avoid the wet stuff while others are out filling up sand bags or being evacuated from homes that are close to the overflowing streams, creeks and rivers.

I stay away from sci fi. So, on that note, I've played just about everything in those two genres.

DEMON FORM Eyes: Vivid blue that has the same hue as a glacier. Hair color: White, stark white. Hair length: Shoulder length.
Skincolor: Creamy white Body mass: Has a lean, lithe dancer's body. Length: About 5'4 (a shorty!) Weight: 115 lbs.

GUISE FORM Eyes: Same as demon form, glacier blue, but without the vividness. Hair color: Platinum blond, almost white. Hair length: Shoulder length
Skincolor: Creamy white Body mass: Same as the demon form. Lithe and lean. Length: Same again! 5'4. Weight: Shall I say it? Again! 115 lbs.

Reputation: Is known to the Demon Underground as the newest Seer. It's been ages since Portland has seen a Seer and many are excited for her arrival. She is jobless for the moment, seeking work somewhere in the city.
Strength: Friendly and understanding. She contains a ton of empathy and is fairly motherly to those around her.
Weaknesses: Can be very untrusting of people and yet still is naive. She knows almost nothing of the Demon Underground and that could be used against her.

Main supernatural ability: As a Seer, Peyton has the ability to see through the Guise (making it appear as a shimmering image over the supernatural's real face) and to cast the Throuveil spell, a ritual that will take her life is she is to cast it.
Other Supernatural ability: May cast the Guise spell (but doesn't know it yet) and dispel it as well. Peyton has not matured enough to learn about her Oracle powers.
Drawbacks to supernatural abilities: Peyton's life is destined to be like that of a canary in a gilded cage. She will forever be in service to the Demon Underground. Just about everyone is going to want to know what their future is and Peyton is being watched like a hawk...
Job: Unemployed / Seer Family ties: No known family other than an estranged mother. Lover(s): No known lovers
Short history: Peyton grew up in a hostile home. Her mother (a Seer as well) was a drug addict, running from her visions by shooting up. And when money got short, the drug addict attempted to sell her daughter into sex (Peyton was only seven). But she didn't know that the man she was selling her daughter to was an undercover police officer. Peyton was taken from her home and since there was no other family, she was sent to foster care.
Bouncing house to house, Peyton tried to keep her growing abilities secret. Many would try to convince her that she was insane or just making things up until Peyton never said a word about them anymore. By the time she was sixteen, Peyton has been in over twenty homes. But luck found her and she moved in with the Brooks, in Portland Oregon.
The Brooks had taken the girl from Eugene that no one else wanted. They taught her respect, showed her love and cared for her until she was eighteen. At that point, she moved out and found her own place.
The year that she turned twenty, Peyton had two tragedies. The first was that the Brooks were in a car accident and neither survived. The second was that her mother had been released from prison on good behavior. But Peyton is two hours north of Eugene where her mother would be. Nothing can harm her now, right?
