Human Reputation: Elena is often called upon by students and interns at OHSU for medical advice (as well as personal advice). Despite the irritation, she often accepts the help; but repeated requests in a short period of time, often causes her to flip out and ignore the student. Despite this, she is widely regarded as a mentor to Interns and Students.
Strengths: Elena was top of her Medical Class and thus is a very competent doctor. Her strength lies in Internal Medicine, but she is also a qualified neurologist and radiologist. Despite her personality, her well rounded skills, can be counted on when needed.
Weaknesses: Sarcastic and misanthropic, with a quick, cruel wit. She is also very concerned about the way she is perceived in the hospital, often making very illogical and self-destructive decisions in order to keep her "bad girl" image. She is a chain smoker and a fan of Scotch.

Short Character History: Prior to her role as attending Physician at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital, Elena was a medical intern at the same Hospital, and was the top student in her class in medical school.
She grew up in the East Midlands in England. Her parents both died when they were involved in a multi-car pileup due to weather conditions. Elena was spared with only a few minor injuries, and looked upto the Doctors who tried everything to save her parents. She was then sent into foster-care.
Excelling in all science curriculums, she was accepted a position at OHSU. Seizing the opportunity to leave her 'horrid' foster-parents, she left immediately for Portland. Extensive medical schooling, internship and her continued service: amass to a total of 13 years spent at OHSU.
Despite offers of more prestigeous roles at other hospitals, Elena holds her current title and hospital dear to her heart. In some ways, it is her home.
